Residential Living

In our homes, Friends are family.

We have provided affordable housing to our neighbors with cognitive and developmental disabilities since our agency was founded in 1972.

We have provided affordable housing to our neighbors with cognitive and developmental disabilities since our agency was founded in 1972.

We opened our first group home in 1974, and currently operate six homes in Newton and Wellesley, Massachusetts. All P2P homes are in attractive neighborhoods with easy access to stores, libraries, banks and other community services. Two to seven residents live in each home, and five of the homes are staffed 24-hours-a-day. Our team assists residents with activities of daily living and getting to appointments and enjoyable recreational activities in the community. Each resident participates in a day program, works in a supported setting or competitive job, or enjoys retirement activities.

Our licensed clinical social workers (LCSW) work directly with each Pathway to Possible client to assess the level of support they need and ensure that each person is in a residential setting that will enable them to develop as many independent living skills as possible, and to participate fully in the community.

Pathway to Possible's homes are located in the Newton villages of Newton Corner, Waban, West Newton, Newton Centre, and in Wellesley Square.

 Shared Living

We rise by lifting others.

Many disabled adults in your community are in need of a place to live and an individual or family that can form a lifelong relationship with them.

Many disabled adults in your community are in need of a place to live and an individual or family that can form a lifelong relationship with them.

Caregivers have the opportunity to support an adult with disabilities to live and thrive within the community by offering permanent housing, assistance with daily living and a place to call home.

Shared living pairs caregivers with individuals in need, helps to secure an appropriate home or apartment and supports caregivers and individuals alike, working as a third part of the team. Caregivers can be family members or non-members who are reimbursed for their service.

We provide care coordination services, resources, specialized training, ongoing support & 24-hour therapeutic consultation for you. We will match you with the right individual, enable appropriate home improvements or find a new home as needed and give tax-free reimbursement for your services.
