Pathway to Possible's annual Autumn Auction brings together over 200 guests for a celebratory evening in support of our mission. Please join us for an inspiring evening of connection, possibility, and community. This festive cocktail-style event features exciting raffles, thrilling bidding opportunities in both our silent and live auctions, and food & drink with one shared vision - strengthening our community by empowering individuals with developmental disabilities.

Together we can ensure that our clients continue to receive exceptional support and are able to live their best lives.

I cannot attend the 2025 Autumn Auction but would like to make a gift in support of P2P’s mission.

Liz Hiser

P2P’s 2025 Carol Beard Visionary Community Leader Honoree

Liz Hiser has graciously accepted our nomination as the recipient of the 2025 Carol Beard Visionary Community Leader Award—an honor that recognizes exceptional individuals whose commitment and community leadership uplifts our mission and community.

Liz is a cherished friend of P2P and a familiar face at P2P events like the Autumn Auction and the Community Dog Show. A dedicated Newton resident, Liz—alongside her husband, Charlie Hoban—has demonstrated deep and consistent support for P2P through personal philanthropy, family involvement, and quiet yet impactful advocacy. Two of their children have even served as summer interns in our administrative office, continuing a family tradition of service.

Her tireless behind-the-scenes efforts have included advocating for our work with elected officials, filling in Auction packages with festive odds & ends to hand-delivering a 70" television to our Cross Street house. Liz shows up for our community in both heartfelt and hands-on ways.

Like past recipients Margie Birnbaum, Jeff Behrens, Susan Paley, Josephine McNeil, and Mary Margaret Pappas, Liz embodies the spirit of this award: a deep-rooted connection to our community and a dedication to advancing our mission. Beyond her work with P2P, Liz is currently serving as a Board Member for the Newton Beacon. She has also served as Chair of the Board of the New Art Center, served nine years on the board of Newton Schools Foundation, served on the boards of the Wellesley College Alumnae Association and The Second Church Nursery School, as well as the advisory boards of The Second Step and Wellesley Centers for Women.

Liz’s legacy of community engagement and her connection to Carol Beard—whom she knew through her children’s involvement in Understanding Our Differences—make this honor especially meaningful. We are overjoyed to celebrate her many contributions and the extraordinary energy she brings to our shared work.
