Melissa Allen graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and has a Master’s Degree in Accounting from Bentley College and has spent most of her professional experience in internal audit at what is now AT&T Mobility. She just recently returned to practice.
Melissa has served on the Pathway to Possible board for the last five years. She enjoys serving on the board because it feels good to be advocating for those who aren’t as capable to do so. She finds it rewarding to help these individuals have a home that feels safe and comfortable.
Melissa loves P2P’s family-oriented approach to the residential care of individuals with cognitive and developmental disabilities. She believes P2P does an extremely good job with the location of their homes, feel of their homes, and the quality and tenure of the staff.
Melissa hopes to see P2P expand their assets to provide the same level of care they have today to more people in the future. She thinks it would be great to see P2P expand our housing and bring in some new residents, perhaps on the younger side, to spread the joy and energy that exists today.
Melissa loves to travel and specifically enjoys spending time on Cape Cod for walks, reading, and time with friends. She has reignited her enjoyment of college basketball and is following Xavier University basketball where her two eldest children attend.
